New standard of urban environment

Alexey Miller
Chairman of Management Committee, PJSC «Gazprom»

«Gazprom centre» will give a more dynamic and modern look to the capital of Belarus. It will become a natural fit for Minsk architecture and a convenient business hub. The complex will boast all kinds of amenities for rest and leisure - time activities. I am sure that it will become a favourite part of the city for both city residents and travellers».

Site plan

Multifunctional development «Gazprom center» is located in the north – east of Minsk (Pervomaiski district) at the crossroads of Nezavisimosti Ave. and Filimonova Str.

The site (8,27ha) will accommodate the «Gazprom Group» HQ in Belarus, administrative and office buildings, a hotel with a conference hall, sports center, education and child development center, medical center, retail area, amphitheatre, recreational area for city residents, ground-level and underground parking.

The complex is noted for its outstanding transport accessibility: the site is 2,6 km away from the Minsk ring road and 5,8 km from the city center (Oktyabrskaya square). Сlose proximity to the National library, one of the city’s major tourist destinations, gives the site an upscale status.

  • Building Management System
Building Management System is intended for automatization of processes and functions used in modern buildings. The BMS is often used to describe a system that controls the equipment in the building: ventilation, heating, conditioning, lighting, power, etc.
  • Use of precipitation
The use of precipitation includes water reclaim and the use of grey and black waters. The former coming from sinks, the latter - from WCs and the kitchen. After reclamation grey waters will be used a second time, for example for green space irrigation and service use. Atmospheric precipitation will be collected, filtered and used for other systems, e.g. for firefighting.
  • Highly-transparent glass facades
Clear and highly transparent glass will be used for facade glazing. Glass units comply with thermal resistance and transparency requirements. Application of exterior coating will be performed using nano-technology, which will ensure a longer life cycle for the units, reduce the risk of thermal shock, the number of washing cycles and will improve facade performance.
  • In-house trigeneration unit
Power plant engineering diagram was designed for a trigeneration system. The power plant includes a cogeneration unit, which provides heat and power, and an absorption refrigerator which drives the cooling process, using heat energy and a small amount of electrical power.
  • Media facades with dynamic lights
A built-in display of arbitrary size and shape will fit the architectural look of the building and will be used to demonstrate diagrams, graphics and videos. The display on the media facade is made of LED modules of different shapes and sizes.
  • Engineering Structures Monitoring System

The engineering structures monitoring system is intended to:

    • monitor load-carrying structures to ensure timely detection of stress strain
    • contribute to the decision-making process regarding the technical condition of the structural elements subject to stress and strain
    • improve the safety of the facility by means of timely detection of stress and strain in the structures, which may compromise their efficiency or result in emergency conditions
    • monitor the extent of stress strain in the structures and, if required, to take emergency measures to prevent the collapse of the building
  • BREEAM Compliance
BREEAM is an international standard of environmental certification of real estate property. It aims to minimize the adverse effects of new developments on the environment locally and globally, to promote a healthy lifestyle and working conditions for its employees. Certification is administered by BRE Global.
